Learn how to measure innovation

A session in which we discuss innovation accounting and how to measure learning in a product portfolio.

The Lean Startup methodologies are all about navigating uncertainty. We use risks to guide us on what to focus on, we use experiments to structure our learning and we use metrics to see that we’re on the right track.

In this session we look at a typical innovation project and the phases it goes through in order to understand what to measure in each phase.

One major challenge with a lean, learning sub-organisation is that it’s different from a controlling one yet has to live within the frame of another mindset. That is when you can implement a Portfolio Value that converts your innovation efforts to something that can be measured against business goals.
